Illustrations from Italy

The following few posts contain drawings I did during my trip to Italy. That trip was one of the best experiences I have had my whole life. I have never, in such a short period of time, found myself so bombarded, so overwhelmed. Beautiful and frightening imagery, moving and romantic, delicate, decorative, silly . . . the art in Italy, the land scape, the social atmosphere hit me from so many different angles and just kept coming.

In addition to the great experience that was the place I traveled to were the people I traveled with. I had the privilege of traveling along with one of my best friends, and one of my favorite professors. Along with the people I was familiar with was an eclectic group of student artists who provided a vast range of perspectives and interpretations of our adventure. Weather we had everything or nothing in common we all shared in a fabulous experience, seeing Italy through our own and each other's eyes.

To my fellow travelers and artists: Thank you for being such good company.

We all went to Italy for different reasons but I am sure we all came back with something far more valuable then we bargained for.
