The New Tapestry

A little while ago I was asked if I would be interested in participating in the Kessels Kramer New Tapestry project.
This is essentially a modern Bayeux Tapestry, intended to depict the major happenings of the year 2009.
I was assigned week 13.
The official web site states that the "Tapestry can be viewed from 8th Jan 2010." So, check back at: http://www.newtapestry.org/HD300/wall.aspx on January 8th to see my own work, and the work of some very talented artists including fellow graduates of mine who contributed to this project.
This is a really great project and I am very much looking forward to it!

Thank you Zack King Frankenstein Kotzer for posting my work and write-up on the very very cool Steel Bananas web site.
little quote form the STEEL BANANAS site to describe their Publication:
"Steel Bananas is a not-for-profit arts and culture zine and collective geared toward enriching the Canadian artistic community by collaborating freely with independent artists and independent art groups. We publish a rag-bag of contemporary Canadian writers and art-bums on the 15th of each month, all with the aim of critically and playfully exploring contemporary cultural theory and the varying facets of contemporary urban culture. We're proud to augment all virtual content with print media or in-the-flesh art happenings around Toronto, and to support independent, alternative, and marginal art in Canada."
